Lyle Ward has been with Faegre Baker Daniels since 1982 and is a partner in its finance and restructuring group. His practice focuses primarily on the representation of commercial banks, financial institutions and other lenders in connection with the origination, administration and restructuring of commercial lending transactions, including, without limitation, secured and unsecured commercial loans (including revolving lines of credit and term loans), construction and permanent real estate financing, asset-based financing, specific project financing, and mezzanine financing.
In connection with his practice, Lyle often represents commercial banks and financial institutions which are acting as agents in syndicated financings. He also has significant experience in the representation of commercial banks, financial institutions and other lenders in connection with workouts and restructurings.
Lyle has represented a number of commercial banks, financial institutions and other lenders, including, without limitation, Wells Fargo Bank, National Association, U.S. Bank National Association, TCF National Bank, Residential Funding Corporation, Cargill Financial Services, Inc., LaSalle National Bank, Cooperative Centrale Raiffeisen-Boerenleenbank B.A., "Rabobank International" and CoBank.

- Administrative agent's counsel in a $90,000,000 syndicated asset-based credit facility to the second largest manufacturer of fiberglass powerboats in the world and in connection with the related Chapter 11 proceeding, including the provision of DIP financing and Section 363 asset sales
- Administrative agent's counsel in a $150,000,000 syndicated credit facility to a distributor of electrical products
- Lender's counsel in a $150,000,000 construction credit facility to a company engaged in residential homebuilding
- Administrative agent's counsel in a $112,500,000 syndicated credit facility to a manufacturer of hearing aids
- Lender's counsel in a $100,000,000 credit facility to a Caterpillar dealer
- Lender's counsel in a $50,000,000 asset-based credit facility to a company engaged in merchandising agricultural commodities
- Lender's counsel in connection with a $35,000,000 real estate secured loan on ski resort hotels and properties
- Lender's counsel in a $25,475,000 asset-based credit facility to a manufacturer of industrial and municipal water and wastewater applications
- Lender's counsel in connection with a $20,000,000 mezzanine loan to a manufacturer of electric fireplaces
- Lender's counsel in connection with a $9,750,000 mezzanine loan to a wholesale hardware manufacturer
- Lender's counsel in connection with the liquidation of a company engaged in the manufacture of plastics components
