Minneapolis (06-August-2010) - Louis L. Ainsworth, former senior vice president and general counsel of Minneapolis–based Pentair Inc., joined Faegre & Benson on August 2. Ainsworth will serve as of counsel in the firm's corporate group, advising public company clients and their boards on corporate governance issues, significant transactions, disclosure, and other securities law matters.

Ainsworth served at Pentair from 1997 until his retirement from the company this month.

"Louis was a very hands-on general counsel, active in every aspect of the company's strategic transactions and most significant operational issues," says George Martin, head of the Faegre & Benson corporate group. "He is also a seasoned advisor to boards of directors and an experienced securities law practitioner. Louis adds a unique client perspective to the services we provide," says Martin.
