Peter has significant client and case management responsibility within the labor and employment group. Prior to joining Faegre Baker Daniels, he managed the employment-based immigration practice at another large, corporate law firm. Peter's extensive experience includes:
- Preparation of nonimmigrant petitions, including H-1Bs, H-3s, L-1s, P-3s, O-1s, and TNs, and advising employers on issues related to other nonimmigrant visa statuses, including B-1, E-1/2s, F-1, J-1 and Conrad State Waivers for foreign physicians.
- Preparation of all types of permanent residence paperwork, including PERM applications, multinational manager immigrant visa petitions, national interest waiver petitions, adjustment of status applications, advance parole applications, employment authorization applications, and re-entry permit applications. He has particular expertise in handling outstanding researcher and extraordinary ability permanent residence petitions.
- Negotiation of visa-related entry and admissibility issues with U.S. consulates, USCIS border ports-of entry and USCIS District Offices.
- Advising employers on I-9 compliance issues. He also counsels clients on immigration-related policies and procedures.
