Social media is here to stay. Twitter users post 90 million "tweets" per day. YouTube is the second largest search engine in the world and has more than 100 million videos. Meanwhile, Facebook has connected half a billion people, and its founder was just named Time Magazine's person of the year for "changing how we live our lives."
That change is manifest not only in how we keep in touch with old friends and near-strangers, but also in how your company markets its products and services, recruits new talent, and identifies and preserves documents in litigation.
On February 1, attorneys from Faegre & Benson will discuss successful strategies that corporations can use to manage risk in the new Web 2.0 world. Topics will include promoting and protecting your brand in the social media space, using social networks in discovery, and the pros and cons of using social media in employee hiring, firing and monitoring.
Three morning sessions will be followed by a lunch panel in which our moderator will call on representatives from local companies to discuss how they have used social media and some of the legal challenges they have faced along the way.
In addition, we are offering an afternoon bonus session for our franchise clients dealing with best social media practices for franchisors.
For registration information, please contact Heather Falsani at 612-766-8652 or Whitney Yopp at 612-766-7451.
