He has represented "green developers" in the acquisition and development of "brownfield" and "greenfield" sites.
Financing. Paul has worked with both lenders and borrowers in the financing of new development, redevelopment, corporate acquisitions, and real estate transfers. He has also frequently advised clients in foreclosure and workout matters, again as counsel for both the lender and the borrower. He has advised clients on various multistate financing matters, and has negotiated construction and permanent loan financing for several regional development projects. His work on secured lending projects led to his selection as a fellow in the American College of Mortgage Attorneys.

He has frequently conducted seminars on these topics, and has published materials related to asbestos and liability for injuries caused by lead-based paint.
Paul has also provided legal services in a variety of other areas of real estate law. He advised clients on right-of-way issues and the rights of public utilities. He has experience with condominiums and other common interest communities, as well as matters related to historic preservation and environmental review of development proposals.
