Craig S. Coleman

Craig Coleman is a litigator in Faegre Baker Daniels' Minneapolis office.  Craig has extensive experience in complex commercial litigation and has successfully handled cases involving antitrust, trademark infringement, misappropriation of trade secrets, business partnership disputes, and commercial contracts. 

Craig has particular expertise in antitrust litigation and has litigated all types of antitrust claims.  Craig has litigated antitrust cases brought by the federal government, business competitors, and consumers. He provides antitrust counseling to a wide variety of clients including corporations and trade associations.

Matters include:

  • MSP Corporation v. Westech Instruments, Inc., 500 F.Supp.2d 1198 (D. Minn. 2007), Obtained a preliminary injunction and successful settlement in a trademark and trade dress infringement action to prevent a competitor from copying a machine design. 
  • BoDeans Cone Company v. Norse Bakery Systems; Interbake Foods, LLC, 678 F.Supp.2d 883 (N.D. Iowa 2009), Successfully litigated monopolization claims on behalf of a plaintiff challenging exclusive contracts and tying arrangements. 
  • Graco v. PMC Global, Inc, et al., Civ. No. 08-CV-01304 (PGS) (DEA), Defending monopolization and tortious interference claims against client.
  • General Mills Inc. v. Fage Dairy Processing Industry, S.A., Obtained denial of trademark applications filed for use of "Total" on yogurt. 
  • United States v. UPM-Kymmene, Oyj, et al., Civ. No. 03C2528 (N.D. Ill. 2003). Hart-Scott-Rodino second request and merger litigation over attempted $420 million sale of Bemis Company, Inc.'s pressure sensitive labeling subsidiary.
  • UltiMed, Inc. v. Becton, Dickinson and Company (D. Minn. 2008). Defending medical device manufacturer against monopolization claims asserted by a competitor.
  • Mid-America Real Estate Co. v. Iowa Realty Co., Inc., 406 F.3d 969 (8th Cir. 2005), reversing in part 2004 WL 1280895 (S.D. Iowa 2004). Defended real estate brokerage exclusive listing program against claims of monopolization and breach of contract. Appeals court vacated preliminary injunction issued by district court.
  • Northwest Airlines Inc. v. Sabre Inc., Civ. No. 04-3889 (D. Minn. 2004). Defended airline ticket distributor against breach of contract and antitrust claims.
  • In re Canadian Imports, Civ. No. 04-2724 (D. Minn. 2005). Represented Novartis Pharmaceutical Corporation in class action lawsuit alleging conspiracy between pharmaceutical companies to prevent prescription drug imports.
  • Cardiac Pacemakers, Inc. v. Aspen Healthcare Metrics, LLC, Civ. No. 04-4048 (D. Minn. 2005). Represented manufacturer of cardiac implant devices in lawsuit against consulting company for tortious interference with contracts and misappropriation of trade secrets.
