Lance Lange is a member of the firm's litigation & advocacy group. He has handled lawsuits in the areas of complex commercial litigation, intellectual property litigation, consumer lending and consumer protection litigation, antitrust and trade regulation, appellate litigation, real estate and environmental litigation and corporate internal investigations. Lance first- or second-chaired approximately eight jury or bench trials to verdict and handled appeals before several state and federal appellate courts.

Lance's experiences include:

• Acting as lead counsel for a national trade association in various matters, including antitrust compliance, litigation and corporate matters
• Acting as lead counsel on amici curiae briefs filed before the U.S. Court of Appeals and U.S. Supreme Court
• Defending an oil industry executive in Foreign Corrupt Practices Act investigation and litigation
• Representing a Des Moines media organization in a major defamation case
• Representing a major broker in litigation involving claims under securities law
• Managing outside counsel on more than 240 lawsuits (in 25 states) as seconded in-house counsel at a Fortune 100 financial services institution, handling consumer-lending litigation (consumer protection claims, RESPA, TILA, FDCPA, etc.)
