Erin M. Verneris

Associate

Erin M. Verneris has been a member of the firm's litigation and advocacy group since 2007.  During her legal career, she has represented clients in a wide-range of industries, including medical devices, pharmaceuticals, biologics, computer hardware and software, healthcare services and aircraft design. Erin advocates on behalf of clients in litigation, pre-litigation and alternative dispute resolution settings and has negotiated favorable pretrial settlements.  She has litigated a diverse range of commercial matters involving contract disputes, business torts and products liability.

Representative matters include:

  • Obtained dismissals of failure-to-warn claims against a name brand pharmaceutical manufacturer where plaintiffs ingested only generic equivalent.
  • Served on trial team in defense of wrongful death/product liability claim venued in Philadelphia Court of Common Pleas against manufacturer of cardiac surgery products. Recruited and retained world-renowned biomaterials expert to testify at trial. Favorable resolution of matter attained after exchange of expert reports.
  • Defended major pharmaceutical manufacturer in multi-district litigation alleging failure to warn of adverse reactions of Parkinson's Disease medication. Served on "bellweather" trial team. Prepared key trial cross examination of plaintiff.

Erin previously practiced in the Silicon Valley office of a major law firm where she counseled and represented clients in a range of pre-litigation and litigation matters in state and federal courts arising from complex commercial and employment disputes.
