The Occupational Safety and Health Act (OSHA) and parallel state safety laws place compliance obligations on a wide variety of workplaces. Several other federal and state laws also intertwine with OSHA. They include environmental laws, worker's compensation and occupational disease laws, as well as the Family and Medical Leave Act and the Americans with Disabilities Act.
