Alissa Raddatz counsels employers regarding a variety of employment issues. She assists clients with establishing and revising personnel policies, procedures and practices to reduce employment-related risks while meeting employers' business needs. Her representative work includes:
- Advising employers regarding employee discipline and discharge matters
- Assisting employers in developing policies and practices to manage leave issues, including FMLA leave and leave as an accommodation under the ADA
- Preparing non-competition and confidentiality agreements and advising employers regarding their enforceability
- Preparing and revising employee handbooks or other personnel policies
- Advising employers regarding wage and hour issues, including classification of employees as exempt or non-exempt for overtime purposes
- Providing practical advice to clients on managing employment issues arising out of foreign operations.
Alissa's practice also includes assisting employers in preparing and obtaining approval of affirmative action plans and in representing government contractors in connection with OFCCP, state and local compliance reviews.
In assisting employers with regard to labor relations issues, Alissa's experience includes answering questions that arise during organizing campaigns and collective bargaining, providing employer representation in labor arbitration, and opposing union organizing campaigns.
In addition to counseling on U.S. employment matters, Alissa's practice focuses on counseling multinational employers on cross-border human resources issues affecting multiple countries and jurisdiction. Her experience includes:
