Brenda Robinson focuses her practice on trademarks, copyrights, e-business, technology and other related matters in the Faegre Baker Daniels intellectual property group and is a member of the firm's sports and entertainment industry team. She represents clients in the drafting and negotiating of trademark and copyright licensing agreements, technology agreements, confidentiality and non-disclosure agreements, work-for-hire agreements, trademark and copyright registration, litigation counseling in connection with trademark and copyright infringement and misappropriation claims, intellectual property assessment and valuation, and social media counseling and policies. Brenda also has experience in trademark clearance searches and opinions, monitoring, trademark protection and enforcement, and copyright assignment and permissions requests. She has provided legal counsel in the area of sports and entertainment, as well as in the music and film industry, to numerous artists, musicians, authors, arts organizations, athletes and entertainers in issues involving contract negotiation and preparation, artist management agreements, letters of intent, music publishing and co-publishing agreements, and private offering memoranda in connection with film financing.
In her legal career, Brenda has also developed experience in a variety of other areas, including general corporate and commercial law, trusts and estates, and nonprofit formation and operation. Before joining Faegre Baker Daniels, she was a partner in another Chicago firm after practicing as an associate in a New York City firm. During law school, Brenda was a judicial intern for the Honorable Kevin J. Carey in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania.
