To be eligible for the Faegre Baker Daniels Diversity Fellowship, applicants must be enrolled in a J.D. program at an accredited U.S. law school with an anticipated graduation date of 2015 and be interested in a summer associate position in one of our U.S. offices. In addition, they must be committed to contributing meaningfully to diversity and inclusion in the legal profession.
Fellowship recipients will be summer associates in one of our U.S. offices between their second and third years of law school. Fellowship recipients are eligible to be considered for an offer of full-time employment as an associate upon graduation from law school.
Fellowship recipients will receive a $10,000 stipend at the conclusion of their summer associate position.
Fellowship recipients will be matched with a mentor, a Faegre Baker Daniels lawyer, at the time the Fellowship is awarded. The mentor will offer guidance to the student and help with his or her integration into the firm and community upon arrival in the summer.
Applications for the 2015 Diversity & Inclusion Fellowships will open in the summer of 2014. Interested students should complete an online application and attach a cover letter indicating office preference, a resume, a law school transcript, and a two-page personal statement describing how or why they will contribute meaningfully to diversity and inclusion at Faegre Baker Daniels and/or in the legal profession. For more information, contact Kristine McKinney (Minneapolis), Brita Horvath (Indianapolis) or Kristen Hunter (Denver).
