Jessica R.R. Faith

Associate

Jessica Faith is a member of the Faegre Baker Daniels' labor, employment & benefits practice and focuses on employee benefits.  Jessica assists employers and service-providers with a range of retirement and welfare matters, including 401(k) plans, defined benefit plans, prototype plans, and health plans.  She is a frequent contributor to the Faegre Baker Daniels health care reform blog, where she writes about the latest health care reform issues affecting employers.

Jessica's representative experience includes:

  • Drafting and amending plan and trust documents.
  • Analyzing benefit claims and qualified domestic relations orders.
  • Writing summary plan descriptions, summaries of material modification, ERISA 204(h) notices, and other employee communications.
  • Preparing submissions with the Internal Revenue Service and Department of Labor, including determination letter applications.
  • Correcting plan errors through the Employee Plans Compliance Resolution System.
  • Advising employers on maintaining compliance with the Internal Revenue Code, ERISA, the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (PPACA), and related laws.

Prior to joining the firm, Jessica was a law clerk in the Licensing and Administrative Law Division of the Iowa Attorney General's Office.  During law school, Jessica was a managing editor for the Iowa Law Review.
