Paul G. Koziol focuses his practice on intellectual property law. His practice includes drafting and prosecuting U.S. and international patent applications. Paul advises clients on issues such as patentability, patent validity and patent infringement. He also works with clients in devising patent portfolio management and enforcement strategies. Paul has experience in a variety of technology fields, including pacemakers and cardiac defibrillators, medical device lead construction, MRI and power management considerations in implantable medical devices, business methods, flow control systems, liquid crystal technology, light emitting diode technology, electrical control systems, fiber optic fabrication, optical communication systems, semiconductor device fabrication, magnetic recording systems, and technology related to electrical and mechanical properties of materials.
Paul's undergraduate studies in electrical engineering focused on digital systems, integrated circuits and computer architecture and design. While obtaining his bachelor's degree, Paul interned with LSI Logic, Inc. where he worked in the memory group assisting engineers in the design of memory for application-specific integrated circuit (ASIC) chips.
