Rob Leonard is a member of the firm's intellectual property group. His experience focuses on computer- and software-related technology; however, Rob also has significant experience in navigation systems, radar, industrial control systems, rf technology, sensors, semi-conductor manufacturing and vision systems.
A significant portion of Mr. Leonard's time is devoted to support of Mergers & Acquisitions and financing deals. He also has successfully negotiated technology agreements for IT systems, data centers, software licenses, patent and technology licenses and joint development relationships.
Prior to joining Faegre Baker Daniels, Rob was assistant general counsel and lead intellectual property lawyer for the home and building control business of Honeywell. While at Honeywell, Rob's responsibilities included developing intellectual property strategy, pursuit of infringement, avoidance of infringement, licensing, acquisitions and divestitures and e-commerce support for a global, $5 billion business.
