Wendy Yan is a partner in the firm's Shanghai office. She has extensive experience in multi-jurisdictional mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, financings, technology transfers, venture capital, private equity and general corporate counseling, and various types of inbound and outbound investments relating to China.
Wendy represents clients in various industries, including chemicals, energy, technology, automotive, telecommunications, consumer products, real estate, construction and others. Her recent experience includes:
- Representing multinational companies and private equity investors in the acquisition of China businesses in manufacturing, pharmaceutical, consumer products, chemicals, telecommunication, clean tech and life science industries
- Representing multinational companies in formation and operation of wholly foreign-owned and joint venture enterprises in manufacturing, automotive, agricultural, energy, chemical, technology, consumer products, real estate, and other commercial and industrial sectors in China
- Representing venture capital/private equity investors and technology companies in numerous equity financing transactions in the telecommunications, life science, e-commerce, computer software, pharmaceutical and clean tech industries in China
- Representing major state-owned Chinese companies in their overseas acquisitions and other investment projects
Before joining Faegre Baker Daniels, Wendy worked for another U.S. law firm in Hong Kong.
