In early October 1994 Win became lead counsel to Schwan's Sales Enterprises in the defense of class action litigation involving more than 30,000 claimants/class members arising out of the alleged salmonella contamination of Schwan's ice cream products.
From January to June 1995, Win was in trial in Idaho Falls, Idaho on behalf of American Cyanamid in the defense of claims involving Cyanamid's crop protection products.
Win has also represented underwriters at Lloyds and such United States manufacturers as Boeing, Lockheed, General Electric, Bell Helicopter, Cessna, and many smaller manufacturers.
He advises European Union manufacturers with respect to product liability prevention matters, and he has spoken on product integrity and product liability prevention issues frequently in the United Kingdom, often under the auspices of the British Department of Trade and Industry.
Win is National Products Counsel for Novartis Crop Protection, Inc. and, in that capacity, manages one of Novartis' national litigation dockets.
Win left Faegre Baker Daniels in 1979 to assume the post of Associate Chief Counsel of President Carter's Commission on the Accident at Three Mile Island, where he led a team of lawyers and engineers investigating the role of the managing utility and its suppliers.
Following the conclusion of his work on the President's Three Mile Island Commission, Win was retained privately by the owner of Three Mile Island to conduct two independent investigations of allegations of wrong-doing against the company. He subsequently testified as an expert before the United States Nuclear Regulatory Commission in connection with his independent investigations.
