Representative Experience

  • Represented Indiana Lumbermens Mutual Insurance Company in connection with corporate governance matters and negotiating and obtaining regulatory approval for its affiliation agreement with Pennsylvania Lumbermens Mutual Insurance Company
  • Represented Anthem Insurance Companies, Inc. in its demutualization and IPO in 2001
  • Represented National Association of Professional Surplus Lines Offices (NAPSLO) in the development and management of a state-level implementation strategy of the NRRA, including advocacy with state regulators, governors and legislatures in all 50 states
  • Represent American Modern Insurance Group in connection with many multi-state insurance regulatory research projects on all types of product, compliance and federal regulatory matters
  • Represent NOLHGA and its sister organization NCIGF (National Conference of Insurance Guaranty Funds, the umbrella organization for the property/casualty guaranty associations around the country) on Capitol Hill and within the Administration about how insurance should be regulated in the 21st Century. We have educated decision makers and public policy experts in Washington, D.C. and around the country on the strengths of the state-based guaranty systems and how they might be adapted to fit a more federal-centric system under the Federal Insurance Office
  • Represent NAPSLO to pursue legislative goals and advocate that surplus lines producers enjoy freedom from conflicting regulation in the 50 states and the District of Columbia
