The report, "Presumed Equal: What America's Top Women Lawyers Really Think About Their Firms," details the results of a widely distributed workplace satisfaction survey. Approximately 4,000 women lawyers from 105 firms responded to questions about opportunities for advancement, training, business development, leadership and more.
The report ranked some of the largest and most prominent law firms in the U.S. according to how they value diversity and work-life balance. Baker & Daniels was third behind Chicago-based Sonnenschein Nath & Rosenthal and New York-based Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer.

"Presumed Equal" is intended to serve as a guide for female law students and women lawyers looking to make a lateral move as they make employment decisions. It was originally published in 1993. The report was updated first in 1998, and again in 2006.
