Faegre & Benson Ranks Second Nationwide for Highest Percentage of Women Equity Partners

Faegre & Benson LLP ranked second nationwide for the highest percentage of women equity partners in Diversity & the Bar magazine's 2007 Leading Law Firms for Women Equity Partners listing—evidence of the firm's longstanding commitment to promoting diversity and the careers of women.

"Beyond our efforts to attract more women to our legal and administrative rosters, our objective is to keep the door open for women to play major leadership roles at our firm," said Thomas G. Morgan, chair of Faegre & Benson's Management Committee. "With women serving on our Management Committee, leading several key practice areas, and making up more than half of our administrative directors, Faegre & Benson relies upon women every day to make crucial decisions that are key to its success."

"Our goal is to make Faegre & Benson a destination for women in the law—a place where women have more opportunities and more support in becoming successful partners and leaders," said Michael A. Ponto, chair of the firm's Diversity Committee. "While we recognize there is always more work to be done, we are proud to receive this recognition."

The Leading Law Firms for Women Equity Partners rankings are based on data collected from 193 major law firms for the 2007 edition of the Vault/Minority Corporate Counsel Association Guide to Law Firm Diversity Programs.

Faegre & Benson is consistently recognized for its commitment to diversity. The firm was recently listed in MultiCultural Law magazine's 2007 Top 100 Law Firms for Diversity and Top 100 Law Firms for Women.
