Faegre & Benson Ranked Fourth for Associate Satisfaction in American Lawyer Survey

Faegre & Benson LLP has been ranked fourth among law firms for associate satisfaction in a survey conducted by The American Lawyer magazine. This marks the third consecutive year in which Faegre & Benson has been ranked among the top ten law firms for associate satisfaction.

Faegre & Benson received among the highest ratings for the training and guidance given to associates, satisfying work, relations among associates, and benefits and compensation.

The results of the 2008 survey of mid-level associates are based on responses received from more than 7,000 third-, fourth-, and fifth-year associates in law firm offices around the world. This year, associates from 180 firms participated in the survey. A firm's overall score is the average of the scores received on the 12 questions on the survey which ask associates about their interest in a firm and their satisfaction level working there; compensation and benefits; relations between associates and partners; training and guidance; openness about finances and strategies; billable hours policy; a firm's attitude toward pro bono work; and the likelihood of the associate being at the firm in two years.

"Faegre & Benson is consistently ranked among the top law firms for depth of legal expertise and excellence in client service. To be recognized also as a place where associates enjoy working and where they want to make their careers is doubly satisfying," said Ann Rainhart, Director of Legal Personnel and Professional Development at Faegre & Benson. "With happy associates, we are better able to serve our clients—and to assure them that the lawyers who know their business today will be working with them over the long term."
