Carl A. Greci, a partner at Baker & Daniels LLP, has been elected president of the St. Joseph County Bar Association.
Greci has served on the St. Joseph County Bar Association's Board of Governors since 2002. He has held the positions of secretary, vice president and president-elect prior to ascending to president in 2008.
The St. Joseph County Bar Association was founded in 1873 and currently has more than 500 members. The main goals of the association include:
- Supporting the practice of law in St. Joseph County with legal education programs and the maintenance of a law library that is open to the public;
- Promoting the administration of justice;
- Upholding the honor of the law profession; and
- Encouraging cordial discourse and interaction among bar members, the bench and the public, along with correlating activities in the interest of the legal profession and public which is serves.
The association also operates a lawyer referral program to assist matching up the public with lawyers in a particular area of practice.
At Baker & Daniels, Greci concentrates his law practice in civil litigation with an emphasis in business and commercial disputes, creditor rights and tort litigation. He represents banks, corporations and insurance companies in the resolution of various disputes in federal and state courts. Greci, who graduated cum laude from Indiana University School of Law – Bloomington in 1993, serves on the board of editors for the Indiana Law Journal.
