54 Baker & Daniels Attorneys Named Indiana Super Lawyers; 15 'Rising Stars'

INDIANAPOLIS — Baker & Daniels LLP announced today that 54 of its lawyers have been named to Indiana Super Lawyers for 2009. Additionally, 15 Baker & Daniels attorneys have been selected "Rising Stars," a new distinction to recognize the top up-and-coming lawyers in Indiana.

Super Lawyers is an annual listing of outstanding attorneys who have attained a high degree of peer recognition and professional achievement. Indiana's top lawyers are chosen by other attorneys and the independent research of Law & Politics, which has been publishing legal magazines since 1990 and Super Lawyers since 1991.

A survey asks lawyers to nominate the best attorneys they've personally observed in action. Each nomination carries a point value, and nominations from other law firms have substantially greater point value than nominations from lawyers in the same firm. Only the top 5 percent of Indiana's attorneys are selected among the state's most elite. "Rising Stars" honors up-and-coming lawyers who are 40 years old or younger or who have been practicing law for 10 years or less.

Baker & Daniels' list of Indiana Super Lawyers represents 26 difference practice areas. The firm's "Rising Stars" represent nine practice areas.
