After perusing a record number of nominations for the 2010 Top Women in Finance award, Amy Seidel was selected as a "Top Woman in Finance" by Finance & Commerce. The publication will be honoring the 50 winners at an awards celebration tonight, November 10, at the Hyatt Regency in Minneapolis. Editors of the publication are running a special publication in November that features each winner on a page with her story and a photograph.
Seidel joined Faegre & Benson in 1998 in the firm's corporate group. She is a co-head of the firm's public companies and securities practice area. Her practice focuses on advising public companies on financial reporting, securities compliance and corporate governance. Seidel was previously named as one of the ten Up and Coming Attorneys in Minnesota by the editors of Minnesota Lawyer and has been named in Chambers USA among America's Leading Lawyers for Business (Corporate/M&A) each year since 2006.
Finance & Commerce calls the list of winners for the 10th-annual awards "impressive."
"With this being the 10th year of the Top Women awards program, I'm thrilled that we will be able to celebrate with such an outstanding group," said Steve Jahn, publisher of Finance & Commerce.
"The number of nominations continues to increase, a huge testament to the volume of top-notch women involved in business in the state of Minnesota," Jahn added.
