Nicholas O. Isaacson has joined Baker & Daniels LLP as a partner in the law firm's Chicago office. He will focus his practice in business and corporate finance.
Before joining Baker & Daniels, Isaacson was a partner at Duane Morris LLP. He started his legal career at Kirkland & Ellis LLP.
Isaacson earned his Juris Doctor from Columbia University School of Law with honors in 1998 after graduating magna cum laude from Harvard University in 1994. He earned an M.B.A. from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business in 2004. Isaacson played on the football team at Harvard and rugby club at the University of Chicago.
Isaacson has practiced law since 1998 and has focused on secured lending for nearly a decade. He devotes his practice principally to the representation of banks and commercial finance companies in transactional matters.
Isaacson has broad experience with virtually all legal issues faced by banks and commercial lenders, including cross-border transactions, first lien/second lien and senior debt/high yield transactions. He has been lead counsel on financing transactions involving acquisitions, real estate projects, debt restructurings, portfolio purchases and international companies, including financings in the autos, computer hardware, consumer products, financial services, health, media, real estate and semiconductors sectors.
In addition to his finance practice, Isaacson has been the lead counsel to a number of corporate clients on a wide variety of matters. He has significant experience representing buyers and sellers in connection with numerous mergers, acquisitions and divestitures in a wide variety of industries where the purchase price ranged from under $5 million to over $6 billion.
