David M. Allen and Edward C. Fitzpatrick, partners at Baker & Daniels LLP, have been selected for inclusion in the 2011 edition of Illinois Super Lawyers.
Only five percent of Illinois attorneys are chosen for the honor each year. Super Lawyers provides a rating service of outstanding lawyers who have attained a high degree of peer recognition and professional achievement. The selection process is multi-phased, including independent research, peer nominations and peer evaluations.
Allen was named to Illinois Super Lawyers in business litigation for the sixth time, including the last four years. He joined Baker & Daniels in 2008, when the firm opened an office in downtown Chicago. For more than 35 years, Allen has been advocating for a variety of clients in matters ranging from the interpretation of wills and trusts to claims for breach of fiduciary duty.
Fitzpatrick, who joined Baker & Daniels in 2010, received Illinois Super Lawyers recognition in banking for the second time. He focuses his practice on the financial services industry and business litigation. Fitzpatrick has more than 30 years experience representing financial institutions and other clients in a range of complex commercial litigation.
The 2011 list will appear in Illinois Super Lawyers magazine, which will be mailed to attorneys throughout the state and American Bar Association-accredited law school libraries. Selected attorneys also will appear in a special advertising section in the February issue of Chicago magazine.
The objective of Super Lawyers is to create a credible, comprehensive and diverse listing of outstanding attorneys that can be used as a resource to assist attorneys and consumers in the search for legal counsel. Super Lawyers magazine is published in all 50 states, reaching more than 13 million readers.
