Baker & Daniels Welcomes 11 New Associates in Nine Practices

Eleven new lawyers have joined Baker & Daniels LLP as associates in a variety of practice areas.

Seven of the 11 new attorneys have previous experience with Baker & Daniels — six as summer associates and one as a government services specialist. The new associate lawyers are:

Patrick M. Bickley from Milan, Ohio, focuses on intellectual property work and patent prosecution in the downtown Indianapolis office. A 2011 graduate of the Chicago-Kent School of Law summa cum laude, Bickley earned an M.B.A. from the University of Findlay in 2007 and a bachelor's degree in chemical engineering from the University of Toledo in 2002. He is admitted to the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office and has previous experience as a materials development engineer.

Evelyn L. Gentry, who focuses on labor and employment law from the downtown Indianapolis office, received her law degree from the Indiana University Maurer School of Law in Bloomington in 2011. A 2009 recipient of the Baker & Daniels Diversity Scholarship, Gentry served as a summer associate with the firm in 2006 and as a law clerk during her final year of law school. She received a bachelor's degree in political science and English Literature from DePaul University in 2006 and is from Chicago.

Zachary G. Jacob, a member of the exempt organizations practice group in downtown Indianapolis, served as a summer associate with Baker & Daniels in 2010. Jacob graduated cum laude from the Indiana University School of Law in Indianapolis in 2011 after earning his bachelor's degree in economics and political science magna cum laude from Hillsdale College in 2003. Prior to attending law school, he worked with JPMorgan Chase as a loan originator and underwriter. He is originally from Carmel, Ind.

Timothy J. Moriarty works with the firm's business litigation practice group in the downtown Indianapolis office. He graduated summa cum laude from the Indiana University School of Law in Indianapolis in 2011 after serving as an aide to various public servants and candidates, including Congressman Andre Carson. Originally from Carmel, Ind., Moriarty was a summer associate with Baker & Daniels in 2010 and earned his bachelor's degree in history with highest distinction from Indiana University-Purdue University at Indianapolis in 2005.

Kathryn E. Olivier, who focuses on business litigation in the downtown Indianapolis office, graduated summa cum laude from the Indiana University School of Law in Indianapolis in 2009 after earning her bachelor's degree in biology from DePauw University in 2005. A native of Indianapolis, Olivier was a summer associate with Baker & Daniels in 2008. Prior to joining the firm, she clerked for justices on the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Indiana and the Hamilton County Circuit Court.

Ryann E. Perlinski is a member of the firm's state and local tax group in downtown Indianapolis. A 2011 graduate magna cum laude from the Indiana University Maurer School of Law in Bloomington, Perlinski served as a summer associate with Baker & Daniels in 2010. Prior to law school, she worked for ArcelorMittal Indiana Harbor, handling bargaining unit personnel issues. Perlinski received a bachelor's degree with highest distinction in political science, and public relations and rhetorical advocacy from Purdue University in 2007 and is from Munster, Ind.

Jacqueline M. Pimentel-Gannon, who focuses on real estate and land use matters, is a 2011 graduate of the University of Notre Dame Law School. She has also earned three other degrees from Notre Dame: an M.B.A. in 2011, a master's of education in 2007, and a bachelor's degree in economics, political science and Spanish in 2005. Prior to attending law school, Pimentel-Gannon was a third grade teacher. A native of Indianapolis, she will practice from the firm's 96th Street office in Indianapolis.

Leslie B. Prill works with the intellectual property practice group in downtown Indianapolis, focusing on patent litigation. Prill graduated cum laude from the Indiana University Maurer School of Law in Bloomington in 2011 while simultaneously earning a master's degree in biotechnology from Indiana University. Before attending law school, she worked as a legislative assistant in the U.S. House of Representatives. Prill earned her bachelor's degree in biology cum laude from Pepperdine University in 2006 and is from Overland Park, Kan.

Pablo A. Svirsky focuses on corporate law for companies in the life sciences industry, practicing from the firm's 96th Street office in Indianapolis. He is a 2010 graduate of Harvard Law School and received his bachelor's degree in music business with honors and distinction from Indiana University in 2006. Since earning his law degree, Svirsky has served as a litigation fellow with The Lawyers' Committee on Civil Rights. He has previous experience as a musician and in the music licensing industry, and is originally from Indianapolis.

Mindy A. Westrick is a member of the government services practice in downtown Indianapolis, where she is active in lobbying activities. Westrick graduated from the Indiana University School of Law in Indianapolis in 2011 after working as a government services specialist with Baker & Daniels for 2½ years during law school. She earned a bachelor's degree summa cum laude in political science and Spanish from the University of Indianapolis in 2006. She is from Auburn, Ind.

Therese M. Williams, who focuses on business and corporate finance, is a 2011 graduate of the Indiana University Maurer School of Law in Bloomington. She was a 2010 summer associate with Baker & Daniels and also studied international business transactions and European Union law in London during law school. Williams received a bachelor's degree in biology from Indiana University in 2006 and has previous experience working in nonprofit volunteer recruitment and fundraising. A native of Fort Wayne, she will practice from the firm's Fort Wayne office.
