James O'Neal and Amy Fiterman were presenters at the April 28-29 Product Liability Advisory Council (PLAC) spring conference in Coral Gables. They organized and led the April 28 morning session on fraud class action issues and discussed "New Challenges in Class Definitions/Subclass."
The theme of the conference was "True Grit, The Fighter, and Social Network, Renewed Attacks and Effective Defenses." The conference addressed the latest in consumer fraud class action litigation, uses and abuses of social media in litigation, and the latest in preemption law.
O'Neal leads Faegre & Benson product liability practice, of which Fiterman is also a member. Both focus their practice on drug and device litigation, as well as consumer fraud class actions, and are members of the firm's drug and medical device practice area.
