Faegre & Benson is pleased to announce that its London office has received high-level rankings in the recently published Legal 500 United Kingdom 2011.
The firm has been ranked in the second tier in the "M&A: smaller deals up to £50m" table, alongside firms such as Davies Arnold Cooper, Finers Stephens Innocent, Memery Crystal, and Withers. As the editorial comments remark, "Faegre & Benson's predominantly domestic business is boosted by its ties into the US and China acting for private entrepreneurs and larger plcs. The team is noted as ‘understanding the needs of a US publicly traded company'. Paul Finlan and Gary Laitner are the standout partners."
Faegre & Benson has also been ranked in the "Flotations: small and mid-cap" table alongside firms such as Clyde & Co; Dechert; Orrick, Herrington & Sutcliffe; and Reed Smith. Melanie Wadsworth is singled out in this field and described as "exceptional."
In addition, the firm is ranked in the "Commercial property: investment" table.
Although not ranked in the highly competitive "Employment" table, the firm does get a mention in the editorial section as being one of several U.S. firms with a high-level practice but a generally smaller team than other City counterparts. The firm's work on behalf of 3M, GE and Hearst Publishing on employment matters also received a mention.
For full details of all of the above rankings, see the Faegre & Benson profile page on the Legal 500 website.
