The Spirit of Women Awards celebrate women who make their communities better places to live and recognize unsung heroes for their community contributions made through their work and service activities. As an award recipient in her region, Hull will be nominated for a national Spirit of Women Award.
Hull was selected because of her pro bono work for the Family Justice Center's Protective Order Legal Team over the years. Hull also actively supports the development of local youth as an ambassador and mentor to the Boys and Girls Clubs of St. Joseph County and as a former board member of the Child Abuse Prevention Services and the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation. She also serves on the board of Premier Arts, which provides educational opportunities and live theater productions that showcase local talent with a focus on children.
As a labor and employment partner at Faegre Baker Daniels, Hull counsels senior management teams on employee relations and liability management related to workplace discrimination, leaves of absences, reductions in force and labor union issues. She has successfully defended numerous grievances through arbitration and represented employers before the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission and state and federal courts.
Hull was honored as a Community Hero, along with the selected Healthcare Hero and Young Person Role Model recipients, at the 2013 Expo for Women on March 1-2, 2013, at the Century Center in South Bend.
