Alison Born and Cathy Bailey Named Unsung Legal Heroes by Minnesota Lawyer

Faegre Baker Daniels LLP employees Cathy Bailey, Conflict, client & matter supervisor, and Alison Born, legal administrative assistant, were named "Unsung Legal Heroes" by Minnesota Lawyer July 5.

The award honors law firm employees with exceptional talent and high performance in the legal support field. Honorees were nominated by colleagues, supervisors and peers.

Kevin Tracey, director of finance, nominated Cathy Bailey for the award, and highlighted her change management skills as one of her strengths. As conflicts supervisor, Bailey's role is crucial to the success of the firm and she often works under tight deadlines.

"Change management is always a challenge," said Tracey. "What has impressed me most about Cathy's achievements in the last year is her growth into being a conflicts supervisor who develops and implements new, efficient and effective processes in a large global firm."

Born was nominated because of her vital role and contributions as the legal administrative assistant to Managing Partner Andrew Humphrey. "In her continuous role of indispensability, Alison embodies excellence and teamwork," said Legal Administrative Services & Talent Manager Laurie Lampman. "She leads by example on a daily basis by her strong commitment to putting clients first, high performance, integrity and professionalism."
