Kevin Brennan Joins FaegreBD Consulting's Health & Biosciences Team

FaegreBD Consulting is pleased to announce that Kevin Brennan is joining the firm's health and biosciences team as a senior director.

In his new role, Brennan represents companies with pharmaceutical, biological, medical device and molecular diagnostic products that lack a clear pathway to full market access. He works with these companies in negotiating with Congress, the Food and Drug Administration (FDA), the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS), the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), and other federal decision-makers. He also advises patient advocacy organizations on strategic alliance, funding and quality care issues.

Brennan contributes more than 20 years of policy and advocacy experience to FaegreBD in the areas of Medicare and Medicaid, food safety and patient interests.

"Kevin brings incredible depth of experience and passion to our health and biosciences clients," observed FaegreBD Consulting Chair Dave Zook. "His ability to advance policy goals on Capitol Hill and with the administration is well known and respected. We are thrilled to have him join our team."

Most recently, Brennan was a senior policy advisor with Foley Hoag LLP, and before that, served as chief of staff for Rep. Rosa DeLauro (D-CT), legislative director for then-Rep. Sherrod Brown (D-OH) and legislative assistant for Rep. Tom Foglietta (D-PA). His experience also includes serving as senior vice president of public policy and advocacy for the Arthritis Foundation, and as a director in Amgen's D.C. global government affairs office.

"Kevin has earned a reputation for astute policy analysis and highly trusted advocacy throughout his career," said Debra Lappin, FaegreBDC health and biosciences practice team leader. "He brings a wonderful new dimension to the health and biosciences team."

Brennan is a graduate of Boston College. He has been on the National Public Health Committee for the Arthritis Foundation since 2011 and served on the Strategic Advisory Committee for the Patient Access Network Foundation.
