David Walker Joins FaegreBD's Intellectual Property Team in Denver

David Walker has joined Faegre Baker Daniels as a partner in the firm’s intellectual property group.

A registered patent attorney with a master’s degree in molecular biology, Dave brings expertise in the biotechnology and pharmaceutical industries. He understands the technical aspects of intellectual assets in specialties including small molecule pharmaceuticals, nucleic acids, genetically modified organisms, antibodies, proteomics, cell-based therapeutics and clean technology.

“Dave brings deep experience in the pharma and biotech industries and a track record of successfully advising clients in building strategic patent portfolios.  We are pleased to add someone as strategic and collegial as Dave to our IP team,” said Jason Kraus, partner and leader of the firm’s patent practice. “Our client’s needs in these areas are rapidly growing in volume and complexity, and we are delighted to expand our depth and expertise in this space.”

“I am excited to be joining FaegreBD, as the firm’s national platform and deep life sciences bench will allow me to more fully serve my clients and to address their most complex legal challenges,” said Dave.

Prior to joining FaegreBD, Dave was a partner at Dorsey & Whitney in Denver. He received bachelor’s and master’s degrees in molecular biology from the University of Denver, with a master’s emphasis on neuroendocrinology, and a J.D. from the University of Denver Sturm College of Law.
