Darrin Munoz has joined Faegre Baker Daniels Consulting as a director with the energy and environment practice.
A former staffer in both chambers of Congress, including time as deputy legislative director for Sen. Mike Enzi, R-WY, Munoz is a seasoned navigator of the federal legislative process. He works with corporations, public policy groups, energy companies and other stakeholders whose interests are impacted by state and federal energy and environmental laws and public policy. He brings to his practice substantive experience working with federal agencies including the Department of Interior (DOI), the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), the Army Corps of Engineers and the U.S. Forest Service. His work on Capitol Hill encompassed a wide range of topics, including natural resources, environmental issues, public lands, water policy, agriculture, trade and veterans’ affairs.
Munoz earned both a bachelor’s degree in History and a master’s in Public Administration from the University of Wyoming. Before pursuing his degree, he served in the U.S. Navy for four years during which he supervised enlisted personnel in the directing and controlling of aircraft during Operation Allied Force over Kosovo and Operation Enduring Freedom over Afghanistan. He was honorably discharged in 2002 with the rank of Petty Officer Third Class (E-4).
