Paul Luehr Named to Cybersecurity Docket's 2018 ‘Incident Response 30' List

Paul Luehr, FaegreBD partner, was recently named to Cybersecurity Docket’s 2018 ‘Incident Response 30’ list.

The list features the best and brightest data-breach-response attorneys in the nation. Cybersecurity Docket selects honorees based on nominations, superior work in the field, and input from numerous senior (or experienced) lawyers.

The ‘Incident Response 30’ honorees were recognized at a ceremony on April 18, 2018 in Washington, D.C.

“I am honored to be named to the ‘Incident Response 30’ list,” said Luehr. “In the growing world of cybersecurity breaches and data privacy regulations, I strive to remain on top of the latest cyber issues and use that information to serve clients in their moments of greatest need.”

Bruce Carton, editor of the Cybersecurity Docket said, “The IR 30 is a list of lawyers who are a must-have to lead the team managing any form of cyber-related crisis and Paul Luehr clearly fits that bill. Given his extensive digital forensic expertise, together with his lengthy and unique high-tech prosecutorial track record at both the U.S. Department of Justice and the U.S. Federal Trade Commission, Paul Luehr has become the trusted adviser of choice in some of the most challenging breaches of the past decade. We are proud to have named him as one of the 2018 ‘Incident Response 30.’”

Luehr leads the firm's global privacy and cybersecurity team of over 50 attorneys from many different disciplines. He has spent 25 years on the cutting edge of data privacy and cybersecurity. He led the early Internet team at the Federal Trade Commission and prosecuted hacking, terrorism and cross-border fraud as a federal cybercrime prosecutor for the U.S. Department of Justice. He then spent 13 years in the private sector as an executive and consultant, providing advice on data privacy, cybersecurity and digital investigations to Fortune 500 companies. As cyber-attacks galvanized the public, Luehr became one of the nation’s “go-to” first responders and led investigations into several of the top data breaches on record.
