Jim Provenzale has joined Faegre Baker Daniels as part of the real estate group in the firm’s Des Moines office.
Provenzale draws from his extensive background protecting the federal government’s real property interests to advance the business goals of mortgage lenders, borrowers, landlords, tenants and other participants in the real estate industry.
Provenzale spent the first 14 years of his career as a real estate attorney with the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD). Prior to joining FaegreBD, he served as Chief Counsel to HUD’s Des Moines Field Office for eight years.
Provenzale brings substantial experience closing transactions under HUD’s multifamily programs, including programs for new construction/substantial rehabilitation, refinancing/acquisition, supplemental loans and cooperative housing.
Provenzale is a national authority on HUD’s Section 232 program, a real estate finance tool for health care facilities. Having served as Chair of HUD’s Section 232 Document Reform Implementation Committee, Provenzale is well-positioned to further the real estate goals of companies in the health care industry.
Provenzale earned his J.D. from the University Iowa College of Law. He received a bachelor’s degree from the Indiana University School of Music.
