U.S. Department of Labor Issues New FLSA and EPPA Posters

The U.S. Department of Labor (DOL) recently issued new workplace posters under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) and the Employee Polygraph Protection Act (EPPA). The new FLSA poster includes information regarding lactation breaks and employee/independent contractor classification and updated information regarding civil money penalties. The new EPPA includes updated information regarding civil penalties.

Employers must post a copy of each poster in a conspicuous place in each of their establishments. Employers should promptly remove any previous versions of these posters and replace them with the new versions. A copy of the new FLSA poster and the new EPPA poster are available on the DOL’s website.
