Federal Contractors: Review the 2019 Supplemental Corporate Scheduling Announcement List to See if an Audit Is Coming

Federal contractors should immediately review the Supplemental 2019 Corporate Scheduling Announcement List (CSAL), released November 8, 2019 by the Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP), to see if they have been selected for an upcoming compliance evaluation (audit). This CSAL notifies over 500 establishments that they will undergo a future Focused Review regarding the Vietnam Era Veterans Readjustment Assistance Act (VEVRAA). Click here for additional VEVRAA Focused Review information.

The OFCCP publishes the CSAL 45 days before it starts issuing the Office of Management and Budget (OMB)-approved scheduling letter, which begins the audit. Notably, the OFCCP website indicates that the VEVRAA Focused Review Scheduling Letter is not yet complete but “coming soon” as it awaits final OMB approval. After receiving the scheduling letter, applicable contractors will have only 30 days to submit their Affirmative Action Plans (AAPs) and other supporting information to the OFCCP. As a result, this is an important opportunity for contractors to use the notice to ensure their AAPs are legally compliant, and to begin gathering and evaluating the additional required information.
