Overview

Kinsey Arnett counsels clients on managing their assets through estate planning, estate and trust administration, and succession planning for closely-held businesses. Kinsey advises on charitable techniques that achieve clients’ intentions.

Kinsey works with clients to handle matters such as:

  • Reviewing, analyzing and developing estate plans for high net worth individuals and preparing wills, lifetime directives and trust agreements
  • Developing succession plans for closely held businesses
  • Opening estates, overseeing administration and distribution of estate assets, and closing estates
  • Preparing federal estate tax returns (Forms 706) and federal gift tax returns (Forms 709)
  • Negotiating with the Internal Revenue Service on certain federal estate and gift tax issues
  • Reviewing and analyzing existing irrevocable trust agreements, and developing and implementing plans to modify trust agreements via mergers, decantings and court proceedings to address changed circumstances among trustees and beneficiaries
  • Negotiating and preparing premarital agreements for high net worth individuals
  • Negotiating and litigating contested trust agreements and estate plans

Past Experience

Kinsey is a licensed CPA. She previously worked as a tax services manager at Katz, Sapper & Miller LLP and specialized in the areas of nonprofit organizations, fiduciary taxation and individual income taxation.
