Julie concentrates her practice in trademark and copyright clearance, registration, protection, enforcement and litigation; domain name and Web-related issues; and licensing and transactional work.
Julie represents clients ranging from multi-national companies to local, nonprofit organizations in a variety of industries. She is responsible for managing global trademark, copyright and domain matter portfolios for agribusiness, marketing and advertising, healthcare technology, consumer products, and food and beverage companies.
She regularly performs domestic and foreign trademark clearance, prosecution, maintenance and portfolio management, and her practice includes representation of clients in proceedings before the Trademark Trial and Appeal Board and various federal courts. Additionally, Julie negotiates, drafts and counsels clients on intellectual property-related agreements, including consent agreements, assignments and licenses.
Prior to joining Faegre Baker Daniels, Julie was an associate at a Chicago-based law firm, where she advised clients on IP matters related to trademark and copyright clearance, prosecution, enforcement, label reviews and due diligence analysis for acquisitions.
