Overview

Michael Gallo is a litigator who defends clients in product liability and mass tort litigation. He defends manufacturers of medical devices and consumer goods in state and federal proceedings. Michael also assists clients in commercial and employment litigation matters, handling discovery, mediations and appeals.
Michael’s experience includes managing complex discovery, taking and defending depositions of both fact and expert witnesses, and preparing expert and dispositive briefing prior to trial.

  • Chatman v. Zimmer, Inc., et al., 5:14-cv-102 (S.D. Miss.)—Obtaining summary judgment on behalf of knee implant manufacturer. 
  • In re Cook Medical, Inc., IVC Filters Marketing, Sales Practices, and Products Liability Litigation, MDL No. 2570 (S.D. IN)—Representing IVC filter manufacturer in multidistrict litigation.
  • In re Zimmer Durom Hip Cup Products Liability Litigation, MDL No.2158, No. 2:09-cv-04414 (D. N.J.) — Representing orthopedic device manufacturer in multidistrict litigation involving metal-on-metal acetabular component.
