Overview
Joelle Groshek utilizes her experience in regulatory agency investigations and enforcement actions to serve food industry clients facing collateral litigation related to foodborne illness and consumer fraud claims. As a matter of course, she assists clients in regulatory compliance and litigation avoidance strategies.
Prior to joining Faegre Baker Daniels, Joelle worked at a small Minneapolis firm, where her practice included defending individuals and businesses facing licensing sanctions before several state regulatory boards, including the Minnesota Board of Accountancy, the Minnesota Department of Health and the Minnesota Department of Human Services. Her practice also extended to the pre-complaint defense of individuals and businesses under investigation for criminal and civil fraud by the Internal Revenue Service and the Center for Medicare and Medicaid Services.
Before her career in law, Joelle worked and volunteered in a variety of positions related to food and public health, including animal husbandry, organic vegetable and flower production, and facilitation of a food stamp exchange at two Wisconsin farmers' markets.
