Prior to joining FaegreBD Consulting, Alec served for more than four years as a staffer for U.S. Sen. Michael Enzi, R-WY, both in his personal office and his Senate HELP Subcommittee on Primary Health and Retirement Security. Alec tackled a policy portfolio that included health care, k-12 education, higher education, career and technical education, and pension issues. He performed research that informed legislative proposals in addition to his work in a broader advisory role. Through his work, he gained experience drafting and negotiating legislation and liaising with key federal agencies including the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), the Food and Drug Administration (FDA), the National Institutes of Health (NIH) and the Department of Education (DOE).
