Overview

Michael Jaeger represents clients in complex cases in the areas of business litigation, labor and employment, product liability, and sports and entertainment. Michael has litigated numerous matters in state and federal court and in arbitrations regarding breach of contract, consumer and wage & hour class actions, civil RICO, construction defect, TCPA, employment discrimination and wrongful termination, and collective bargaining.

Michael also specializes in emerging areas of law at the intersection of technology and commerce. He provides counseling to clients regarding best practices for online terms and conditions, specifically with regard to arbitration provisions, class action waivers, auto-renewal programs and membership agreements. He also has experience in privacy and cybersecurity law, with particular expertise in the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), and he has written articles, presented at conferences, and provided counseling regarding risk management and liability issues related to autonomous vehicles.

Michael has argued and won dispositive motions, negotiated settlements, taken and defended depositions, second-chaired multiple arbitrations and mediations, handled preparation, direct and cross-examination of fact and expert witnesses, and conducted internal investigations. He also has extensive experience drafting briefs and motions as well as negotiating and managing discovery.

Before joining Faegre Baker Daniels, Michael was an associate with Latham & Watkins LLP.

Past Experience

Prior to practicing law, Michael was a director, working in various capacities on and off-Broadway, on national tours, and in Los Angeles. He also co-wrote the feature film “The Best and the Brightest,” starring Neil Patrick Harris, directed the two-season, 24-episode web series “Stuck,” and directed and produced live corporate events. Michael is an avid hiker and has logged many miles in the San Gabriel Mountains.
