Overview

Hannah Leiendecker is a commercial litigator and appellate advocate. She defends clients in federal and state courts across the country, particularly in consumer class actions, franchise-related disputes and appellate matters.

Class Actions

Hannah defends consumer class actions, including those brought under the Telephone Consumer Protection Act, Fair Credit Reporting Act and state consumer protection laws.

Franchise Law

Hannah provides strategic advice to her franchisor clients, offers creative solutions and defends them in litigation. She also contributes to thought leadership on emerging franchise issues.

Appellate Litigation

Hannah represents clients in appeals to state and federal appellate courts in a variety of matters, including product liability, commercial disputes and class actions. She enjoys writing and speaking about the U.S. Supreme Court as a member of the firm’s appellate advocacy group. Before joining the firm, Hannah clerked for Judge Diana E. Murphy of the Eighth Circuit Court of Appeals and Judge Nancy E. Brasel of the U.S. District Court for the District of Minnesota.

Pro Bono

Hannah maintains an active pro bono practice. She has successfully defended a client's deferral of removal under the Convention Against Torture before the Board of Immigration Appeals and was a member of the pro bono team that secured a consent decree to facilitate absentee voting in Minnesota without the requirement of a witness's signature during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Hannah is an active member of the Minnesota Chapter of the Federal Bar Association and is currently serving on the Federal Practice Committee for the District of Minnesota.
