Sean Metherell represents property owners in complex eminent domain proceedings in Colorado, Minnesota, and across the country for national clients with large real estate portfolios. He is an experienced trial lawyer who has successfully litigated a number of multimillion-dollar valuation trials in state court.
Eminent Domain
Sean represents property owners, developers and other property interest holders in all phases of eminent domain proceedings. While he primarily represents private and institutional landowners seeking just compensation, he has also represented condemnors acquiring property interests. Understanding the objectives of each side has been an important aspect of Sean’s success at trial, and this experience has also allowed him to negotiate favorable settlements through mediation.
Personal Interests
Outside of his legal practice, Sean enjoys spending time with his wife and daughter and is a lifelong Denver sports fan. Sean is also a competitive cyclist, racing for the Groove Subaru Excel Sports Cycling Team.
