Lauren advises clients on all things patents, from strategic risk analysis and licensing to litigation and post-grant proceedings. She has litigated patent infringement cases across the country. Her practice is not limited to a particular field but spans diverse technologies including computer software, 3D printing, biotechnology, chemical solutions and surgical methods. Lauren is a perpetual student, and she is currently exploring the intellectual challenges and innovative potential presented by blockchain technology and its role as a mechanism for redefining trust in transactions.

Patent Litigation

Lauren represents patents owners and accused infringers in patent litigation cases. She has managed nearly all aspects of a patent litigation case, from the initial case investigation through discovery, contentions, claim construction, expert reports and summary judgment to appeal.

Post-Grant Proceedings

Lauren has represented both petitioners and patent owners in inter-partes review (IPR) proceedings at the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office.

Intellectual Property Licensing

Lauren strategically counsels clients on patent licensing matters, from negotiating terms to enforcement.

Freedom to Operate

Lauren provides strategic risk analysis for freedom-to-operate and patent enforcement evaluations. She has experience evaluating the infringement, validity and enforceability of patents.

Business Litigation

Lauren has represented clients in breach of contract and antitrust matters at their intersection with intellectual property rights.

Additional Experience

Prior to joining Faegre Baker Daniels, Lauren served as editor-in-chief of the Wisconsin Law Review and interned for Chief Justice Shirley S. Abrahamson of the Wisconsin Supreme Court.

Personal Interests

Lauren enjoys creative problem solving and is an aspiring master gardener.
