Elizabeth Cowan Wright



Elizabeth (Liz) Cowan Wright partners with clients to achieve strategically aligned outcomes in patent litigation and complex intellectual property litigation. She counsels clients during various phases of litigation, including merits/pre-suit investigations, discovery and non-dispositive motions, claim construction, dispositive motions, trial and appeal. Liz has advised and worked on matters for a variety of clients, including 3M, Seagate, Technicolor, Comcast and Boston Scientific.

Engineering Experience

Prior to joining Faegre Baker Daniels, Liz worked for five years as an engineer at a major manufacturing corporation, where she had product and process responsibility for the manufacture of components supplied to automotive original equipment manufacturers.

Faculty Positions 

Liz is an adjunct professor at the University of Minnesota Law School, where she teaches the Winning Patent Litigation course along with other members of the intellectual property group and is a co-author on the course textbook.
