Cardiac Surgeon Obtains Defense Verdict in Jury Trial Claiming Negligence

A cardiac surgeon prevailed in a case involving alleged negligence in a coronary bypass procedure. The plaintiff claimed the surgeon severed the patient’s vagus nerve, resulting in a paralyzed diaphragm.
