Our firm's environmental team represents Agrium (now Nutrien) and several of its subsidiaries in a variety of environmental transactional, cleanup and other compliance matters. The team works closely with the client and our firm's real estate and corporate teams to understand Agrium's (now Nutrien's) potential environmental liability concerns and to evaluate the best strategy for mitigating them.
The team’s work includes drafting environmental protections in purchase, sale and lease agreements; assisting them in responding to and negotiating the scope of agency remediation matters; and counseling the client on permitting and other approvals necessary for new development projects.
